“A Great Find - well worth the journey”
“We stumbled on this place whilst out for a drive today and not being familiar with the area i googled trip advisor from my phone to see what reviews were like.... All 5 star was enough for Me... I am a big believer in Trip Advisor and have never gone far wrong by reading peoples Honest reviews.. I do believe that good or bad you should always report on your findings to help other readers.... We were Not disappointed.... The food was fab... Having read that the cullen skink and haddock risotto were worth a try I opted for both (albeit risotto was a starter portion which was enough after cullen skink... Both were worth having - Id recommend both for sure... The menu was So tempting - both from the £8.50 set lunch menu and also a la carte that we both struggled to choose as Everything took our fancy... Staff were efficient and friendly and for a wed lunch time the place was busy .. The food was all very fresh - my husbands haddock was fresh and meaty and very succulent in a lovely light batter with not a bit of grease on the plate and the homemade tartare sauce was delicious... we will definitely go back again and try something else from the menu... cant wait !!!! Enjoy - you will not be disappointed for sure.. If everyone took such pride in the food they served all restaurants and pubs would be bursting at the seams.... Well done owners and well done chef 10/10.”

“Fabulous traditional pub”
“We travelled from Glasgow to the beautiful village of Killearn as we had heard such wonderful things about the Old Mill, we certainly weren't dissapointed, a warm welcome from the manager Ian and great service from Stella (I think that was her name, sorry..) followed by some truly great scottish home made food, I had the Cullen Skink and a caesar salad and they were both delicious I would heartily recomend the Old Mill to any one looking for a traditional pub that serves great food and I will certainly return, i just wish it could be my local....”

“Great lunch”
“We stopped for an impromptu lunch here last Thursday and the food was fantastic. Great choice from a la carte menu and it also has a set 2-course lunch menu for £8.50, which is a bargain for really good, good food. The smoked haddock risotto is amazing! Staff were warm, friendly and attentive and you could tell they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your visit. Great outdoor space with play area for kids and situated in a lovely part of Scotland. Well worth a drive out.”

“Well worth the 20 minute drive north of Gladgow to eat here. A special on the menu was isle of Harris lobster which was very tasty. A great choice of food on the menu to cater for everyone's tastes. Great value and freshly prepared. Great service from the efficient and friendly waiting staff. Would highly recommend this to anyone fir lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere in a great location.”

“Fantastic food, spectacular service and great value!!”
“We have visited this bar/ restaurant a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff are always happy to go the extra mile to make your visit perfect and we have always received great service. The beer garden is very child friendly and the bar and restaurant has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food has always been fantastic, really fresh and good value. There is something on the menu to please all of the family (which isn’t always easy with this fussy lot!!) My partner believes in the ethos of working hard for your money and spending it wisely… and although he is always happy to compliment good service/food he will also quickly complain if anything is less than perfect- even he cannot fault the food and service in the old mill. In short- a great place to eat & drink.”

“Excellent service and food!”
“Enjoyed a quick pub meal in The Old Mill with excellent service and atmosphere. Although the restaurant was fully booked on a Tuesday night we were accommodated in the bar which was very comfortable. Will definitely return and recommend to others!”

“Fantastic food & friendly service”
“A friendly atmosphere, quintessential village pub with visible ceiling beams & a lovely big open fire (in the winter). Food was fabulous & bar staff were very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. If you are visiting Loch Lomond or walking the west highland way, I can recommend a slight detour to visit the Old Mill in Killearn. We will definitely be back.”

“Lovely Food, Lovely Service”
“I've eaten here various times over the last couple of years, there is always a friendly welcome, the food i great, not your run of the mill pub grub that's for sure, and reasonably priced and I'd recommend anyone to try it. Be advised to reserve a table though, it is very popular.”

“Great Scottish country ambiance”
“I lived and grew up in Killearn. Spent many a night in the old mill. It is a cozy, warm and inviting place with solid pub food and a Scottish Bistro style menu in the restaurant. The bar is warm, with a large fire that roars in the back and the decor is lovely. Out the window you can see loch lomond on a clear day and Ben Lomond which is a nice touch.
